FAVORITE DIVE:  The last one. There is always something interesting, new, or positive you can take out of every dive - even if it is just an opportunity to practice and improve skills.
HISTORY:  I did a discover scuba on the Great Barrier Reef in 2002 and was instantly hooked. I got my Open Water certification when I came back to Calgary in June. I spent a few years collecting certifications and improving my diving skills, then got my Master Scuba Diver rating in 2004. In 2007 I took the plunge and became a Divemaster.
ON DIVING:  Diving gives me the opportunity to see a small part of the almost 75% of the earth that is covered by water. I get to explore fascinating and beautiful landscapes and interact with amazing animals. At the same time that the dives are exciting, the quiet and feeling of weightlessness affords me a feeling of peace and serenity. And my favorite part is sharing the adventure with a buddy!
DIVING RECOMMENDATIONS:  Practice your skills. Better skills allow you to be more comfortable and consequently to enjoy your dives more. Dive in as many different environments as you are comfortable in. The variety available to you is astounding.
DIVED LOCATIONS:  Bahamas, Cuba, Cozumel, Dominican Republic, Grand Caymans, Turks and Caicos, Alberta Mountain Lakes (Banff, Jasper, Edmonton, Calgary), West Coast (from Port Hardy down to Catalina Island), Vancouver Island (Quadra Island, Thetis Island, Tofino), Okanagan, Florida (Caves, Coastal Dives), Australia (Great Barrier Reef, Port Phillip Bay)
