The mirror is based on one of the oldest and simplest signaling devices – sun reflection. A diver lost in the sea or on a desolate coast can using the sunlight and a mirror attract the attention of a ship or a search plane even on a several kilometer distance.

The mirror is made from stainless steel with an increased resistance in sea water and is polished to a mirror-like shine. The sight mirror is based on the principle of the fusion of the image of sun and its reflection in the back, also mirror polished side of the mirror. This way of localization is not commonly known, yet it is simple and accurate. The instructions for use are on the back side of the mirror.
